Oh Yes Enjoy The Holiday Bicycling Ride Too!

Crisp and oxygen rich morning rides. Of course, make sure you are completely buttoned up with a windbreaker, a Lid, and a well maintained machine. I remember first riding with City Slicks at Venice Beach. Boom! Like, no traction from a little bit of sand. Must be the approach. No hard turns with those slicks. Enjoy the holidays. Maybe you will receive that special bike thing you've always wanted under your tree in a few days! Enjoy the ride!

Sir Laude speaks up about his bicycling tails

One day as a youngster, I happen to be taking a cross city route to get to the beach. So the key word is cross city. Since I didn't know the town, I also didn't know about the wildlife on neighboring streets. While riding my Peugeot with Columbus tubing, Mavic components and sew-ups, I happened upon a road in an unincorporated part of the city. I guess that's why they call it "shady", but tooling along at a comfortable 15 mph, I think I startled an unassuming hound on the side of the road. It promptly ran after me, showed his teeth rather close to my legs. This shot great amounts of adrenaline (performance enhancers) into my blood stream and I could feel my legs decide to make a quick getaway. I think my mph went to +5 mph at that instance. Obviously, an animal with it's mouth open ready to chomp is SO ready for that good bite that it couldn't keep up. So I made a clean exhilarating getaway and on to the beach that day many years ago.
